A Staff Nurse is a professional who provides direct and indirect care to patients within a specific clinical healthcare setting. They are responsible for assessing patients' conditions, developing care plans, administering medications and observing patients' progress. Staff Nurses work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for their patients, and must be able to think critically, make sound decisions and communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families.

    Junior Sister/Charge Nurse

      The Junior Sister/Charge Nurse is accountable and responsible for the delivery and management of care within the ward or department in the absence of the Ward Manager or Senior Sister/Charge Nurse. They supervise staff and students, ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained. They also provide professional nursing leadership and guidance, offer clinical advice and undertake management and monitoring activities. In addition to their clinical duties, Junior Sister/Charge Nurses are involved in service development and the enhancement of patient care within their specialty.
