HIV Service in Hertfordshire

What we do

The HIV Service in Hertfordshire offers outpatient care of HIV positive individuals including investigations, antiretroviral treatment, and hepatitis B and HPV vaccinations. We can refer patients to the many specialist HIV services based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. We also provide joint genitourinary medicine (GUM) services with Central London Community NHS Trust and patients can have GUM care at the same locations. Our daily clinics are based in Stevenage and Watford.

Our team

  • Dr Sarah Edwards, Consultant
  • Dr Sundaralingam Uthayakumar, Consultant
  • Francesca Chatterton, Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Katie Lamb, Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Naman Vora, HIV Pharmacist

Getting to the clinic

Please note: There are no on-site HIV pharmacies at our clinics and no HIV medications are stored on-site. If you request an emergency prescription, you will be asked to attend our clinic and then take the prescription to Watford General Hospital for collection of your medication.

Out-of-hours: In the event of a medical emergency please call NHS 111 or go to your nearest A&E. For out-of-hours medical advice, please call the specialist doctors at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on 020 3315 8539.
