The Great Big Thank You Week
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is getting ready to celebrate its staff and volunteers with The Great Big Thank You Week, running from 8–12 December 2025 across Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital.
The week is an opportunity to recognise the extraordinary work of our teams throughout the year, with a programme of seasonal performances, creative sessions and moments of appreciation for colleagues across both sites.
The Great Big Festive Fayre
One of the most popular events making its return is The Great Big Festive Fayre, transforming our atriums into bustling seasonal markets filled with gifts, food and craftwork from local makers and small businesses.
The Great Big Festive Fayre dates:
- Tuesday 9 December, 10am–4pm: West Middlesex University Hospital
- Thursday 11 December, 10am–4pm: Chelsea and Westminster Hospital
Last year’s fayre brought together staff, patients, visitors and community partners, and this year’s promises an even wider variety of stalls. Visitors can browse:
- Scarves, jewellery and original artwork
- Handmade Christmas decorations
- Crystal and resin gifts
- Soaps, bath products and natural home fragrances
- Organic ginger juice
- Homemade bakes and sweet treats
- Candles and seasonal scents
- Traditional Goan Christmas sweets and snacks
Alongside the shopping, the fayre offers a chance to meet local independent traders, learn more about the work of different hospital teams and see how our charity partner CW+ supports staff and patients through arts, wellbeing and innovation programmes.
Everyone is welcome, and we encourage staff, patients, visitors and our local communities to drop in, browse the stalls and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
Celebrating our people
Across the week, staff will also enjoy a mix of festive performances, creative workshops and appreciation activities, including The Great Big Cheer Awards, which recognise colleagues and teams who go above and beyond for patients and one another.
