Plastic surgery
What we do
The plastic surgery service provides soft tissue reconstruction for trauma, in addition to elective and semi-elective reconstruction. It runs outpatients clinics—in general plastic surgery—in addition to specialised clinics for cranio-facial, hand and burns patients.
The Hand Management Unit is dedicated to the treatment of hand injuries operating within the day surgery complex. Emergency hand clinics and support from the multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists occupational therapists and trauma coordinator are provided Monday to Friday.
The burns service treats all acute burns and runs a burns dressing clinic five days a week, in addition to providing a nurse-led community dressing support service and a nurse-led education and advisor role to support referring services.
We run a plastic dressing clinic staffed by specialist nurses Monday to Friday to ensure excellent care for complex wounds.
Our team
Our team consists of specialist consultants and nurses, led by Isabel Jones (Clinical Lead for Plastic Surgery), supported by Catherine Mitchell (Clinical Nurse Lead for Plastic Surgery).
