Where will my care be based?
Whenever possible we promote normality in childbirth right from the start. As your pregnancy progresses and you attend classes you will be considering where you would like to give birth to your baby. You can discuss your options with your midwife using the personalised care plans available on the Mum and Baby app for iOS or Android, or request a paper copy. There are three individualised care plans, one for your pregnancy, one for your labour and birth and one for your care after your baby is born.
You have three options available to you in terms of place of birth. These include giving birth at home or in hospital. At our hospitals the options are the midwife-led birth centre or the labour ward.
