Neurology (children)

What we do

At Chelsea and Westminster, we specialist in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute (severe and sudden) and chronic (worsens over time) neurological disorders in children. These can include fainting, repeat headaches and developmental delay. We run a series of general neurology clinics at the hospital each week and several specialist clinics during the year with community-based paediatricians, such as for epilepsy. We also have a close working relationship with Great Ormond Street Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital for children requiring more complex neurological support.

At West Middlesex University Hospital, we run a secondary care level children’s neurology service. We manage epilepsy, neurological conditions and headaches. We work closely with the neurology services at Chelsea and Westminster and Great Ormond Street hospitals. We have numerous clinics through the week with a ‘first seizure’ clinic. We run a monthly joint clinic with the neurologist from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. We work closely with our neighbouring community services.

Please note: We do not provide development assessments or a Tics and Tourette’s service.
