Community physiotherapy

The community team is part of the Cheyne Child Development Service which provides a service to the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham and southern areas of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. We are based in three locations:

  • Cheyne Child Development Centre (Doughty House), Chelsea and Westminster Hospital (map)
  • Parkview Centre for Health and Wellbeing, White City (map)

Children are seen in a variety of community settings including their homes, in nurseries and schools, in health clinics and children's centres. We also provide the physiotherapy input for Jack Tizard School.

We assess and treat children, aged 0-19 years. We see children with delay in developing their motor skills or problems coordinating their movement, long term conditions needing physiotherapy like cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy.

Who can refer to this service?

We accept referrals from GPs, consultants, and from other health, social and education professionals, providing the child is registered to a GP within the following postcodes:

  • Kensington and Chelsea: SW3, SW5, SW7, W8, SW10
  • Hammersmith & Fulham: SW6, W6, W12, W14, parts of NW10
  • South Westminster: SW1

Referrers can contact us at —please attach the completed referral form.
