Experienced ODPs possess advanced skills in specific areas such as anaesthetics, surgical assistance, or post-operative care. They often mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of best practices within their teams.
Development
Further professional development may include leadership training or specialisation in areas like trauma or paediatrics, paving the way for progression to Band 7 roles.
