Agenda for Change

Agenda for Change is the pay scheme that applies to all NHS employees, except doctors, dentists, apprentices and some senior managers. Each role is evaluated on the basis of the knowledge, responsibility, skills and effort needed for the job, and matched to a pay band.

Each of the pay bands has a number of pay points. You will normally progress to the next pay point annually until you reach the top of your pay band.

In addition to basic pay, you will also receive a high cost area supplement for working in London. Depending which site you are based, you will receive an inner, outer or fringe supplement.

NHS Pension Scheme

The NHS Pension Scheme is one of the most generous and comprehensive pension schemes in the UK. You'll automatically become a member once you join the Trust.

Contractual entitlements

As part of your employment with us, we provide occupational sick pay, occupational maternity/paternity pay, annual leave and special leave.

We also have a number of voluntary staff benefits you can access—including a childcare voucher scheme, bike scheme and annual leave trading scheme.
