Prescription charges
The following prescription charges apply to all prescriptions collected from the Boots outpatients dispensary.

We accept both cash and card payments on collection of your medication, making it easier and quicker for you to pay for your prescriptions.
You may be exempt from paying any prescription charges if the following circumstances apply to you:
- Children under 16
- Young patients (up to 18 years) in full time education
- Patients in receipt of benefits (eg Job Seekers' Allowance, Income Support)
- Patients with a disability or long-term illness
- Patients with a valid exemption certificate
If you are entitled to free prescriptions, please ensure that you bring along one of the following as proof of your free entitlement:
- Proof of income support
- Family credit/disability benefit
- Prescription Payment Certificate
