What we do
Theatre services support main theatres and obstetric theatres (both sites), and treatment centre, paediatric and burns theatres (Chelsea and Westminster Hospital) to provide care to patients including:
- Breast surgery
- Colorectal surgery
- Craniofacial and maxillofacial surgery
- Ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgery
- General surgery
- Gynaecological surgery
- Laser surgery
- Oral surgery
- Plastic surgery
- Podiatry surgery
- Trauma and orthopaedic surgery
- Urological surgery
- Vascular surgery
We provide a 24 hour emergency and trauma care operating service, 7 days each week.
Our team
Our team is overseen by the General Manager for Theatres, Anaesthetics and Critical Care and Lead Nurse for Theatres, and led by matrons for Main Theatres (CW), Treatment Centre, Paediatric Theatres and Theatres (WM).

- Paediatric theatres – 1st Floor, Lift Bank B
- Obstetric and burns theatres – within the respective departments
West Middlesex University Hospital
- Main theatres – 1st Floor, East Wing, Main building
- Obstetric theatres – Ground Floor, Queen Mary Maternity Unit
