The refurbishment of the paediatric emergency waiting room will begin on Monday 7 July and is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete.
During this time, there will be temporary changes to where paediatric patients wait and are triaged:
- Check in at reception upon arrival as normal.
- Patients will be directed to the blue benches in the main corridor outside the Paediatric Emergency Department.
- Triage will take place in the main paediatric department. To help reduce crowding, we kindly ask that only one parent accompany one child.
- Two cubicles in the department will serve as the temporary waiting area.
Clear signage will be in place, and our team will be available to help guide you.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve our facilities.
