The 2025 survey—completed by more than 50% of the Trust’s workforce—shows that the Trust performed positively across many areas of the NHS People Promise, placing 4th out of 17 acute trusts across London and ranking top in 22 of 30 staff survey measures within the North West London acute sector.

The results highlight particularly strong performance in learning and development, staff engagement, flexible working and staff morale, reflecting the Trust’s continued focus on supporting staff and improving the experience of working at Chelsea and Westminster.

Chief Executive Lesley Watts said: “I want to express my thanks to all colleagues who took part in the survey. I am immensely proud of our more than 7,500 staff and their commitment to delivering excellent care for our patients. These results show strong staff engagement and morale, and it is particularly encouraging that we ranked first in North West London across many measures, including learning and development, and flexible working.

“I also want to recognise the areas where further improvement is needed, particularly around incidents of violence and discrimination experienced by some staff, which have a serious effect on their wellbeing. Creating a safe, supportive environment for everyone remains a key priority, and we are determined to continue making progress.”

The Trust is now reviewing the results in detail to identify areas for further improvement and develop targeted actions to support staff wellbeing and workplace experience.
