International Day of Action for Women’s Health
23 May 2025
The Trust marked International Day of Action for Women’s Health with a community-led event and podcast series focused on tackling inequalities in women’s healthcare.
On Friday 23 May, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust marked International Day of Action for Women’s Health — a global awareness day that champions women’s sexual and reproductive health rights.
To commemorate the day, the Trust, in collaboration with its official charity CW+, ARC, NHS Hiyos, Hounslow Council and local community organisations, hosted an event featuring health experts and individuals with lived experience. Attendees participated in interactive workshops covering a wide range of topics, including HIV prevention in ethnic minority women, mental health care, and gender inequality in healthcare.
Healthcare professionals from the Trust also partnered with NHS Hiyos — a local Hounslow GP practice — to produce a series of informative podcasts exploring key women’s health issues highlighting our shared goal to address health inequalities in the Borough.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the event and helped raise awareness of the importance of equitable, informed, and inclusive women’s healthcare.
