Members of the Health and Social Care Committee and MPs whom are leading on a review of sexual health services in England, visited Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust’s sexual health services to learn more about the services’ innovative approaches to sexual health service delivery.

On 16 October 2025, members of the Health and Social Care Committee alongside Danny Beales, MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, and Jen Craft, MP for Thurrock, met with our clinical leads for sexual health, representing all four clinics across the capital.   The purpose of the visit was to support wider evidence gathering for sexual health services in England.

They were welcomed by Marta Boffito, Clinical Director of HIV, Sexual, Gender Health and Dermatology, and had the opportunity to visit our services and staff at 56 Dean Street and Dean Street Express.

The visit began with a presentation and discussion around the services’ different, innovative approaches to sexual health service delivery and how the teams have responded to shifts in population demographics and behaviours. This included sharing an update on the impact of the Gonorrhoea vaccination programme which launched earlier in the year, as well as the MPox virtual monitoring system, which was adopted following the Mpox outbreak in 2023.

The visit concluded with a tour around Dean Street Express’ state of the art facilities. The committee members where shown how patients can conveniently and efficiently access sexual health testing services and were able to see first-hand the infinity machine in action, which enables patients to receive their results within six hours of their screening.

Marta Boffito shares “It was great to welcome MPs, Jen and Danny, alongside members of the Health and Social Care Committee, to ensure we are part of vital conversations around what the future of sexual health provisions and support will look like in the UK. As a leading HIV and sexual health care centre, we are proud to be involved in shaping change.”
