On Thursday 18th December, the Trust welcomed the players from Chelsea FC as a special festive surprise to our young patients and staff members.

Premier League stars such as; Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez and Pedro Neto visited our youngest patients and their families in the paediatric wards, handing out ChelseaFC goodie bags and taking photos to commemorate the day. They even signed shirts and merchandise and one patient even got to share his hand-drawn photo of Cole with the football star.

The players were greeted by Laura Bewick, Hospital Managing Director, who shared “It was lovely seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces as the players brought much-needed joy and gifts during what can be a challenging time for many.

We would also like to especially thank Robert Sanchez who brought additional presents and handed them out to the excited paediatric patients he met. This helped make the visit even more magical"

The Trust would like to thank Chelsea FC once again for giving up their time to visit the paediatric wards. A visit like this goes a long way in making this time of year a bit brighter for patients and staff.
