Calling Us
The main hospital switchboard number is 020 8746 8000. It has an automated voice recognition system that allows you to ask for a ward, department or individual member of staff or, if you state 'Operator', you will be connected to a switchboard operator who will be able to help you.
Calls to specific numbers within the hospital may involve a wait, particularly for busy services such as referrals and bookings, but we will do everything possible to answer your call as quickly as possible.
You can also use direct dial numbers to contact wards, departments or individuals directly—wherever possible, these direct dial numbers are listed on the individual pages of this website.
From outside the UK the phone number is +44 20 8746 8000.

Your compliments, comments, concerns and complaints
We welcome your views on our services to help us meet patients' needs. Unfortunately, there may be times when our service is not as good as it should be. In those circumstances we need to know so that we can put things right.
If you have a comment, suggestion or complaint about any aspect of our service, please approach a member of staff in the department or ward and they will attempt to resolve things as quickly as possible. If you are on a ward the best person to speak to is the senior nurse on duty—if you are attending an outpatient appointment you can ask at reception for help.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of these discussions, you can contact the Membership and Patient Advice & Liaison Service (M-PALS).
