Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has announced that the new facility at West Middlesex University Hospital will be named the Diagnostic, Treatment and Education Centre (DTEC).

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has announced that the new facility at West Middlesex University Hospital will be named the Diagnostic, Treatment and Education Centre (DTEC). The name was chosen after feedback from local patients and community groups to ensure it clearly reflects the centre’s purpose and is easily understood by everyone who will use it.

The new name also aligns with national best practice on wayfinding and better reflects the centre’s breadth of services. In addition to delivering essential diagnostic and treatment pathways for cancer, renal conditions and advanced imaging, the centre will play a key role in supporting education, training and professional development.

Later this year, we look forward to opening the doors of this modern, five‑storey building—an important milestone in expanding and improving local healthcare.
