The Trust celebrated International Nurses Day with heartfelt thanks, a national film featuring our staff, and a powerful message recognising the vital impact of nurses across the Trust and beyond.

Happy New Year from everyone at the Trust. As the new year begins, the Trust is recognising the staff and volunteers who were celebrated through the Great Big Cheer Awards 2025, following nominations from colleagues and patients across the organisation.

The boards of the four NHS trusts that make up the North West London Acute Provider Collaborative have agreed to move to a formal group structure, with an overarching group chief executive, from next April. We will continue as separate NHS Trusts while developing organisational structures that enable more joined-up decision-making that will help us improve acute and specialist healthcare—as well as health more generally—for our diverse communities.

The Trust ranked first in London for learning culture in the 2024 NHS Staff Survey, with strong results across all nine People Promise themes and high staff morale.The latest results of the 2024 Survey—which share the experiences of over 50% of our staff—report that we ranked above the national acute average for all nine People Promise Elements and themes.

Spring/summer COVID-19 boosters are available for eligible groups at West Middlesex Hospital every weekend from 5 April to 7 June 2025—book via the National Booking Service.

As part of the UK government’s AI Exemplar Programme announcement on 17 August, the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) along with the Secretary of State, Peter Kyle, visited the Trust to learn more about the different ways they are implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support patient care. AI refers to computer systems that can carry out tasks usually requiring human intelligence—such as identifying patterns in images or data, learning from experience, and making recommendations.
