10 Hammersmith Broadway celebrates 10 years of service

23 July 2026

This week, colleagues from 10 Hammersmith Broadway (10HB) gathered at Kindred in Hammersmith to celebrate the clinic’s 10th anniversary with food and drinks.

This week, 10 Hammersmith Broadway (10HB), award-winning sexual health service, celebrates a decade of providing high quality, accessible sexual health services.

The service opened in 2016, when the West London Centre for Sexual Health moved into a purpose-built premises in the centre of Hammersmith. The move created a modern, accessible clinic designed to meet the sexual health needs of the local community and patients across London.

Over the past decade, 10HB has provided care to tens of thousands of patients. Its multidisciplinary team delivers comprehensive testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), sexual health and HIV prevention services, long-term HIV care, contraception, and specialist hepatitis, genital dermatology and prison services.

The clinic has also developed a successful outreach programme across the local borough, supporting people who can find sexual health services difficult to access due to factors including stigma and sociocultural barriers. Working in partnership with local organisations and community groups, these outreach activities help bridge gaps in access to care and reduce health inequalities.

The clinic also played an important role in responding to major public health challenges. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the service was briefly repurposed as a pioneering testing hub for healthcare workers. During the mpox outbreak, 10HB diagnosed one of the first UK cases and subsequently became a key part of London’s clinical and vaccination response, administering around 20,000 mpox vaccinations. Alongside its clinical work, 10HB contributes significantly to education, training, research and service development, helping to support the next generation of sexual health and HIV professionals.

Congratulations to the entire 10HB team on this important milestone, and on continuing to deliver outstanding care that is recognised locally, nationally and internationally.
