01 December 2025

We are introducing a new parking system at West Middlesex University Hospital which aims to enhance convenience and efficiency for patients and visitors.

We are introducing a new parking system at West Middlesex University Hospital which aims to enhance convenience and efficiency for patients and visitors.

Key Features of the New Parking System:

  1. Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR): The system will automatically read vehicle registration numbers as cars enter and exit the parking areas, eliminating the need for physical tickets.

  2. Payment Options: Visitors can pay for parking using cash or contactless methods, including Apple and Google Pay, at onsite machines or through the Ringo app. If you know your expected duration, you can pay as soon as you arrive. If you need to stay longer, you can extend your parking session without returning to your vehicle.

  3. Blue Badge Holders: They can continue to park for free but must register their vehicle and Blue Badge details in the ANPR database. The badge must be displayed in the vehicle while parked in designated bays.

  4. Appealing Parking Charge Notices (PCN): If you receive a PCN, appeals should be directed to First Parking, the managing company, and relevant contact information will be provided with the notice.

Implementation Timeline:

  • The new payment machines will be installed in the Queen Mary’s Maternity Unit car park on Monday 1 December 2025.
