Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Foundation Trust welcomes players from Fulham FC this Christmas

19 December 2023

On Wednesday 13th December, players from Fulham FC surprised patients and staff in our paediatric wards and the Nightingale Unit with festive gifts and football goodie bags.

Christmas came early for patients and staff at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, with Fulham FC players arriving to visit our Nightingale Unit and children on Neptune and Mercury wards last week.

Andreas Pereira, Willian, Kenny Tete, and Carlos Vinícius surprised patients and their families by handing out Christmas presents as well as taking photos and sharing signed Fulham FC merchandise.

Simone Hunt, Mercury Ward Manager, who was present on the day, explained,

‘Christmas can sometimes be a difficult time of year for many of our patients, however seeing the excitement on the day is just amazing. More than anything, it’s a chance for the children and their families to meet their heroes who will brighten their hospital experience’.

The Trust would like to thank the Fulham FC team for giving up their time to visit our hospital and for spreading cheer to our staff, patients and their families this time of year.
