Trust named as Best in UK for delivering Radiology Services

10 November 2022

We are thrilled to announce that our Trust has won the Best NHS trust for delivering radiology services award.

We are thrilled to announce that our Trust has won the Best NHS trust for delivering radiology services award.

This prestigious national award was announced at this year's Radiology Awards. The award is a testament to the incredible dedication of our radiology colleagues to deliver high-quality care for our patients and service users. The Radiology Awards 2023 offer an opportunity for organisation and professionals working within diagnostic imaging and interventional to be recognised for their contributions to patient outcomes.

Hayley Connoley, General Manager for Imaging and Diagnostics, said: “As professionals in a certain field, it is everyone’s dream here to be recognised and awarded for the exemplary work that they do. The acknowledgment that the department delivers outstanding care to our patients is just amazing and is a testament to each and every member of our team. Delivering a collaborative and compassionate service is really important to us, there is no doubt in my mind that this is part of the recipe for the delivery of excellent quality of care to our patients.”

Our radiology department continues to go from strength to strength, with having recently successfully renewed their Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) Accreditation this month. The Accreditation is a patient-focused assessment designed to identify departments that consistently deliver high-quality services by competent staff working in safe environments.

The department is also part of the wider diagnostic team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, that has consistently delivered the Diagnostics Waiting Times and Activity (DM01) target, and is the top ranked performing Trust in the country for ensuring our patients receive routine diagnostics within six weeks.

A huge well done to our hard working colleagues across both Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital.
