#PROUD to have #PRIDE

30 June 2020

Pride month is a time for our LGBTQ+ community to celebrate the progress made to attain the rights we currently enjoy and remember those who fought over the years to win these rights.

“Pride is essentially a celebration of who we are, exactly how we are. Also a time for us to remember those who paved the way, and those who are still fighting.”

—Vic Diamante, Project Facilitator, Chelsea and Westminster

Pride month is a time for our LGBTQ+ community to celebrate the progress made to attain the rights we currently enjoy and remember those who fought over the years to win these rights.

While we have not been able to celebrate PRIDE month with as much vigour and excitement as usual, as a Trust, we stand firmly by the rights of our LGBT+ colleagues and patients and hope everyone was able to celebrate diversity in some way. PRIDE is the recognition of our difference and how we celebrate diversity for all members of our LGBTQ+ community.

As a PROUD and inclusive Trust, we have celebrated all month through social media, banners, flags and videos. Below are the words of some icons in the LGBTQ+ community.

Happy Pride to all.
