Business as usual for sexual health services on royal wedding day

26 April 2011

Patients are being encouraged to get their sexual health checked out on the royal wedding day by doctors and nurses at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital’s three sexual health and HIV centres.

Patients are being encouraged to get their sexual health checked out on the royal wedding day by doctors and nurses at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital’s three sexual health and HIV centres.

Dr Simon Barton, Clinical Director for Sexual Health and HIV, says: “It’s business as usual on 29 April which means we are offering a full range of sexual health tests and other services at our three centres which are conveniently located in different areas of London.

“It might be a public holiday but that doesn’t mean there is less need for these vital services to diagnose sexually transmitted infections and reduce their spread.”

Appointments can be booked by calling 020 3315 6699 or requested online. Walk-in services (no appointment necessary) are also available.

Services available on 29 April include the following:

  • 56 Dean Street, W1D 6AQ
    9am–2pm
Booked appointments and walk-in services for HIV testing, emergency contraception, Hepatitis B vaccination and HIV post exposure prophylaxis
  • John Hunter Clinic, St Stephen’s Centre, 369 Fulham Road, SW10 9NH
