Congratulations to the Paediatrics team at Chelsea and Westminster who have been shortlisted in the Patient Centred Care category of this year’s Health Service Journal Awards.
This is independent recognition of the Trust’s success in developing its ‘Children and Families First’ model of care which places the needs of children and their families at the heart of the services that we provide.
‘Children and Families First’ is underpinned by excellent communication with children, their families and between staff.
Activities have included a stakeholder engagement day in February, attended by children and parents as well as staff, the development of a DVD that is sent to all children due to come into hospital for inpatient treatment, and the Parent2Parent project being run by a parent to gather feedback from parents and carers.
