Chelsea and Westminster Hospital’s Chief Executive Heather Lawrence has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours list for services to Healthcare.

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital’s Chief Executive Heather Lawrence has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours list for services to Healthcare.

Heather has 20 years experience as a Chief Executive in the NHS and has been Chief Executive of Chelsea and Westminster since 2000.

She also chaired the national negotiations for the SAS Doctors contract and Agenda for Change 3-year pay deal for non-medical staff and is currently serving as a Commissioner on the Prime Minister's Commission for the Future of Nursing and Midwifery.

Professor Sir Christopher Edwards, Chairman of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said: "I am absolutely delighted that Heather Lawrence has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours list.

"While many people are well aware of her outstanding contribution as Chief Executive to the success of Chelsea and Westminster, her contributions to the wider NHS are perhaps less well known. These have included chairing the pay talks for Agenda for Change staff, the national negotiations for Non-Consultant Career Grade Doctors and 6 other national groups. Few deserve recognition more than she does."
