More attractions have now been confirmed for the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Open Day which is being held from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 10 May to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the NHS.

This is the hospital’s first major public event since it was officially named as one of the best three hospitals in London and among the top 5% in England in the NHS annual performance ratings.

This Open Day, which attracted almost 1,500 visitors to the hospital last year, has something for everyone – from a Kids’ Zone to exercise classes for the over-60s and from a hospital food tasting to tours of operating theatres.

Attractions for families include a children’s puppet show, the Teddy Bear Hospital where children can bring in their teddy or doll for a free health check, and the Centre for Clinical Practice where you can see surgeons of the future practise their skills.

There will be live music throughout the day, Paul Bakery will be providing free breakfast from 11am to 12 noon and you can pick up free NHS 60th anniversary souvenirs including T-shirts, mugs and pens.

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Open Day is being held in partnership with Kensington and Chelsea PCT and is sponsored by Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity.
