Friends of Chelsea and Westminster
The Friends of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital provide a number of services for patients and visitors.
Friends Library
The Friends Library offers a library service for patients and staff on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 12:30pm–2:30pm, including mobile library rounds to wards.
Friends Shop
The Friends Shop is on the Ground Floor near the escalators and is open Mon–Fri, 9:30am–5:30pm. It sells a wide range of items including gifts, toys, drinks, magazines, newspapers, cards, balloons, confectionery and toiletries.
Friends Trolley
The Friends run a trolley service which visits the wards every day including at weekends. The trolley stocks drinks, magazines, newspapers, cards, confectionery and toiletries. There is also a craft trolley which visits the wards on Wednesday mornings. It stocks jigsaw puzzles, wools etc. All proceeds support the work of The Friends.
Hairdressers
The Friends run a hairdressing service which is located on the 2nd Floor, Lift Bank D and is open Tue–Fri, 10:30am–5:30pm and Saturdays 10:30am–4pm. To book an appointment call 020 3315 8681 (x58681 internally).
Sales
The Friends run a bric-a-brac sale on Wednesdays and a book sale on Fridays. The proceeds go directly to The Friends. The Friends also benefit from commercial traders who sell a variety of items on other days of the week.
