NHS Staff Survey results—staff recommend us as a top place to work

08 March 2024

The 2023 NHS Staff Survey results are in and our Trust has been rated no.2 in London as a place to work and recognised as one of the leading trusts nationwide.

The results of the NHS Staff Survey 2023 have been published, with more than 6,700 staff sharing their experience of working at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The survey, which is aligned with the NHS People Promise is the largest of its kind in the NHS and collects feedback on employee experience, providing both a national and local perspective. This is then used to help drive improvements in staff experience, services and patient care.

Our Trust has been rated number two in London as a place to work and recognised as one of the leading trusts nationwide. This achievement offers valuable insight into our organisation’s strengths and demonstrates what it is like to work and receive care at the Trust.

Commenting on the results, Chief People Officer Lindsey Stafford-Scott said: “On behalf of the executive team, I am encouraged and incredibly proud of the results for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, which is a tribute to the work of all our 6,700 colleagues.

“Overall our results indicate high levels of engagement, recognition and learning. We also score higher than average for being compassionate and inclusive and for our staff feeling they have a voice that counts.

“While the overall results are hugely positive there are areas we continue to need to improve—including the violence and discrimination our colleagues face at work which we know has a huge impact on our people. We will continue our focus to make Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust a safe place to work where everyone can thrive.

“Our workforce team are now analysing the results in detail to develop actions for further improvement at the Trust.”
