  • Collaborating to improve heart and lung services in North West London

    Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in collaboration with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Imperial College London, has today finalised an initial joint proposal to improve heart and lung services locally and nationally that will see the majority of the Royal Brompton’s services remaining in north west London.

    Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has been rated by the Care Quality Commission as ‘Good’ in all five of the main domains of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, giving an overall rating for the Trust as ‘Good’.

  • 2017 National NHS staff survey results

    The latest National NHS staff survey results were published today. The figures revealed good overall staff engagement, motivation and a majority of our staff recommending us as a place to work and receive treatment. In fact we are in the top 20% of acute trusts for these areas.

  • A single bleep helps volunteers make a real difference at top London hospital

    Chelsea and Westminster Hospital has launched a new ‘Bleep’ volunteering programme enabling volunteers to make an ever bigger difference by channelling their assistance to where it’s needed most, when it is needed most. The initiative means hospital staff can ‘bleep’ volunteers to help them in real time, so they can provide efficient assistance across the hospital, and make a direct, positive impact to patients and staff.

  • Robotic surgical first heralds new era for knee replacements

    Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has carried out its first robotic-assisted total knee replacement operation – an innovative new surgical technique that will get patients back on their feet sooner than ever before. Initially part of a three month trial the results of the new procedure will be monitored to see how they compare to existing techniques.
