NHS Staff Survey 2025 results show Chelsea and Westminster ranked 1st in North West London
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has been ranked 1st among acute trusts in North West London in the latest NHS Staff Survey, with positive results across a wide range of measures relating to staff engagement, learning and workplace culture. The 2025 survey—completed by more than 50% of the Trust’s workforce—shows that the Trust performed positively across many areas of the NHS People Promise, placing 4th out of 17 acute trusts across London and ranking top in 22 of 30 staff survey measures within the North West London acute sector.
Scrubs to Sequins: Staff Fashion Show Fundraiser—16 April
Join us for Scrubs to Sequins, a vibrant charity fashion show celebrating the creativity, culture and diversity of staff from the Trust. Taking place on Thursday 16 April, this unique event will see hospital staff swap scrubs for sequins as they take to the runway in support of CW+, our hospital charity. New Name Announced for West Middlesex’s Diagnostic Centre
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has announced that the new facility at West Middlesex University Hospital will be named the Diagnostic, Treatment and Education Centre (DTEC). The name was chosen after feedback from local patients and community groups to ensure it clearly reflects the centre’s purpose and is easily understood by everyone who will use it.
Trust enrols more than 2,400 newborns for national study testing for 200+ rare genetic conditions
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has been running The Generation Study at both Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital since July 2024. The study, led by Genomics England, in partnership with NHS England, remains open for recruitment until the end of the year, aiming to screen up to 100,000 newborns in England for more than 200 rare but treatable conditions.
Where Every Heart Matters: Trust launches new valve clinic
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has launched a new physiologist led valve clinic, offering patients faster access to specialist assessment, earlier diagnosis for heart valve disease. The service, which opened last month, is expected to benefit 200–250 patients across both Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital in its first year, increasing to 400–500 patients annually as capacity grows.
