Urology (children)
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital is the regional centre for paediatric urology in north west London and our service is one of the few in the country to specialise in artificial urinary sphincters for older children. Children with urological problems make up half of children's general surgical procedures at our Trust.
We provide a complete specialist service including surgery for children with congenital kidney and bladder problems, urethral shortening and incontinence. The team includes an award-winning clinical nurse specialist (link to story about Niamh's award) who cares for children with bladder and bowel problems and provides support at home for those with continence problems.
We are supported by the psychology team and link with community enuresis (incontinence) clinics.
