The annual Friends Christmas Cheer Awards ceremony, which recognises members of staff and teams who have a happy, positive approach to their work and encompass our values every day, took place on Thursday 18 December.

This year we received an outstanding 413 nominations for teams and individual members of staff. The winners included one overall team winner, two team runners-up and 18 individual members of staff who all received 4 or more nominations.

The Team award went to the Trauma & Orthopaedics and Facture clinic. Their colleagues said "They are awesome! They work hard, I have full confidence in them and clinic is a joy with them."

The team runners up were the Acute Assessment Unit and A&E.

It was fantastic to receive so many Friends Christmas Cheer Award nominations and read all the kind words people had for their colleagues.

A huge thank you to the Friends of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital who generously sponsored the awards again this year and Norland and HATS group for donating prizes and the Execs who donated money towards prizes for the winners this year as well. Rosa's Café and David Lloyd gyms also gave prizes and ISS helped us to buy our Christmas tree this year.
