Funding the Open Day

The Council of Governors considers it a privilege to fund the Trust’s annual Open Day. Indeed, it’s a wonderful opportunity for patients, their visitors and the local community to see how the clinical, clerical, cleaning and maintenance staff all work as a united team to make Chelsea and Westminster one of the top hospitals in London.

At this year’s Open Day, which will be held from 11am–3pm on Saturday 12 May, visitors will have a chance to look round the newly opened Netherton Grove extension housing the new Chelsea Children’s Hospital, which is an integral part of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

There will be live music organised by Hospital Arts throughout the day, and for children there will be attractions including a Teddy Bear Hospital, face-painting and games—while for the adults there’s lots of interestingly informative but also fun stands, with prizes to be won.

For those of an adventurous nature, call into the Treatment Centre for a behind-the-scenes look at one of our operating theatres.

The Governors’ stand will be situated in the Information Zone, next to Costa Coffee on the Ground Floor.

All visitors are welcome to come and ask us as many questions as you like about the Trust, and also to give us your suggestions about how we could further improve our services for patients and their relatives and carers.

For non-Members, we are again giving away free cotton shoulder bags and pens, with a chance to enter our draw when you sign up as a new Member of the Trust. There’s a first, second and third prize (£25, £15 and £10 Marks & Spencer vouchers), so we are well worth a visit!

The Governors hope you will come along and see the wonderful work the hospital does and that you will enjoy a lovely few hours of fun whilst doing so. Bring your friends and family!
