Children’s therapy
Who we are and what we do
The Children's Therapy Service, based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, consists of children's physiotherapy, music therapy.
All therapists are experienced in the assessment and treatment of children with movement difficulties and/or developmental concerns.
Qualified staff are registered with the Health & Care Professionals Council and many are also members of specialist groups including the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists and British Association for Music Therapy and College of Occupational Therapists.
The Children's Therapy service is comprised of the following teams:
Acute (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy)
- Inpatients—children on the ward
- Musculoskeletal Outpatients
Community Physiotherapy (part of Cheyne Child Development Service)
- Long term conditions and disabilities
- Provision orthotics (splints)
Advanced practice physiotherapists in paediatric orthopaedics (APPs)
- Assessment and treatment of children referred to orthopaedics
Music Therapy (part of Cheyne Child Development Service)
- Children with communication, social, physical and emotional needs
