Imaging services—clinical and diagnostic

What we do

We provide an extensive array of radiology services to assist in the diagnosis of trauma and disease. We carry out thousands of examinations each year and see patients from A&E, outpatient clinics, hospital wards and via GP referrals. We have a wide variety of the latest equipment to help us provide the best quality diagnostic services for patients and make the most of modern technology wherever possible.

The imaging service at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital is accredited by the Imaging Services Accreditation Scheme (ISAS).

Together—across Chelsea and Westminster and West Middlesex University Hospital sites—our services include:

We also offer clinical measurement procedures including:

  • Echocardiogram and electrocardiogram testing (see Cardiology)
  • Exercise and lung function tests
  • Nerve conduction studies

Our team

The team at Chelsea and Westminster is led by Dr Margaret Phelan, Clinical Director, and Mr Alan Kaye, Radiology Department Manager. The West Middlesex team is led by Dr Catherine Ramsey, Divisional Director, who is supported by a wider group of radiographers, consultants, nurses and healthcare assistants.
