Mr Halsey studied at the University of Bristol Medical School, was a junior surgeon in London and completed his specialist orthopaedic training in the East of England (Cambridge rotation). He then spent two years gaining additional training to specialise in hand and wrist surgery with fellowships in London and Melbourne, Australia. Supported by the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Mr Halsey visited centres of excellence in Lyon, Reims and Paris to learn advanced wrist arthroscopy techniques. His interest in wrist trauma was further developed through an AO Trauma Fellowship in Salzburg, Austria. Mr Halsey has published, presented and won prizes for research articles on a variety of subjects in both the UK and abroad. Mr Halsey holds the European Diploma in Hand Surgery and is a member of the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the International Society for Mountain Medicine.
