Undergraduate Medical Education

The Undergraduate Medicine Office within Chelsea and Westminster Hospital deals primarily with Imperial College Medical Students and is the first point of contact for students on attachment within the Trust.

The office assumes responsibility for co-ordinating all aspects of student teaching and ensuring timetabled sessions are communicated effectively both to clinicians and students alike to offer an optimal teaching environment whilst in the Trust.

Elective students from all over the world also fall under the umbrella of Undergraduate Medicine where their application for a clinical attachment, as part of their required curriculum, is agreed and organised so they might experience the methods practised in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

The department is further enhanced by three full time education fellows who contribute to the student experience by their continuous input and organisation of extra tutorials from focused one-on-one sessions to group teaching and mentoring.
