Guidance for band 5 nurses coming to our Open Day for interview or to apply for a role on Saturday 25 June

21 June 2016

This Saturday 25 June sees the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Open Day, the theme of which is recruitment. We want the best of the NHS to have a fulfilling career with us and in order to encourage people to apply to join our team, have a range of recruitment themed talks and information about what makes joining Chelsea and Westminster special available to people attending on the day.

We particularly want to recruit band 5 nurses. As a result we will be interviewing suitable candidates on the day with 40 interview slots available. Some people have already applied and been given an interview time, but there are a number of slots available for people that want to come along and apply on the day. Here’s what to expect:

Band 5 nurses who have already applied and been told they will be interviewed at the Open Day on Saturday 25 June

  • Please follow all the instructions set out in your interview letter
  • Use the Open Day as an opportunity to have a look around the hospital on one of the scheduled tours, listen to a career talk in our dedicated cinema for patients, CW+ MediCinema, and talk to potential colleagues who will be manning information stands

Band 5 nurses who are thinking of coming along, applying and interviewing on the day

  • Arrive in the morning between 9.30am and 11:30am with photo ID and your mobile phone
  • Go to the recruitment stand (between the escalators on the Ground Floor) to register your interest – a member of the recruitment team will direct you to the Hub, where you will complete your application form. A member of the HR team will be in the Hub to answer any questions about the recruitment process
  • Use the Open Day as an opportunity to have a look round the hospital on one of the scheduled tours, listen to a career talk in our dedicated cinema for patients, CW+ MediCinema, and talk to potential colleagues who will be manning information stands
  • Make sure that you’re somewhere near to the hospital with phone reception as if you are shortlisted on the day, you’ll be called on your mobile between 12.30 and 1.30pm to be given your interview time, which will be at some point in the afternoon.

All candidates will be called no later than 5pm Monday 27 June to let them know if they’ve been offered a role.  Good luck to all that choose to apply.
