Olympic Torch Relay—26 July

24 July 2012

The Olympic Torch Relay will pass through the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on Thursday 26 July from approximately 1:20–1:50pm.

The Olympic Torch Relay will pass through the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on Thursday 26 July from approximately 1:20–1:50pm.

It will travel along Chelsea Bridge Road towards Sloane Square station, along Kings Road, turning right onto Gunter Grove and then left onto Fulham Road towards Fulham Broadway. The relay is expected to be level with the back of the hospital (on Kings Road) at approximately 1:45pm.

While the torch will not be travelling directly past the hospital, it is likely that there will be traffic congestion in the local area due to rolling road blocks which will be in place along the route. Only emergency services vehicles responding to an incident will be allowed to pass through the road blocks. It is likely that the footpaths will also be crowded with spectators.

Patients and visitors travelling to the hospital on Thursday should allow extra time for their journey and be aware of the temporary road closures that will affect the route of the Torch Relay.
