COVID-19 vaccine queries

07 February 2021

As a Trust, we are not currently providing the vaccine to members of the public and you are not able to book a slot to receive the vaccine. Questions should be directed to your local GP or the NHS website.

Our call centre teams have been experiencing a large volume of calls with questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.

We strongly support the vaccine programme.

As a Trust, we are not currently providing the vaccine to members of the public on our sites.  We cannot book you into a slot to receive the vaccine anywhere.

  • The COVID-19 vaccine gives you the best protection from coronavirus and will save thousands of lives.
  • If you are aged over 70, you can now book your COVID-19 vaccination appointment without needing an invitation letter by visiting www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination, or by calling 119, free of charge.
  • You no longer need a letter to book a vaccination appointment at your local vaccination centre or community pharmacy.
  • However, you will not be able to book in for a COVID-19 vaccination at a GP surgery if you do not have an invitation letter. If this is your preference, please wait to be contacted.
  • The NHS is vaccinating those most at risk from coronavirus first

There are now more than 200 sites in London providing the lifesaving COVID-19 vaccines, and more are going live all the time.

Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust supports the vaccination campaign including providing staff for some vaccination centres.  We don't book appointments and neither of our hospitals is a vaccination hub for the general public.

The vaccine is only available free from the NHS. You will never be asked for payment, bank details, or to 'apply' for it.

There is plenty of information on the NHS website about the vaccines being offered, which have been well-tested, and shown to be safe and effective.
