Updated 22 Sept.

The Trust is vaccinating its staff and on-site partners with the seasonal flu vaccine and the Covid-19 booster vaccination.  This will protect staff, patients, visitors and the wider community.

We will also be vaccinating staff from local health and social care partners, who will be contacted directly.

Full Covid-19 protection measures such as masks, social distancing and enhanced hand hygiene remain in place within our sites and we are continuing to limit visiting in the interests of patient safety. Vaccination reduces the risk of getting and spreading infection, and dramatically reduces the chance of serious illness.  However vaccination cannot eliminate the risk of transmission.

Are the Covid-19 Booster and flu vaccines available to the public?

The NHS will offer an additional dose of the Covid vaccine to individuals based on age or underlying condition.  The flu campaign will run as in previous years.  We urge those eligible to take up these vaccinations to protect themselves and others.

You can book your COVID-19 booster vaccine dose online if you have been contacted by the NHS and you:

  • Had your second dose at least six months ago and either
  • Are aged 50 and over
  • Or are aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts you at high risk from COVID-19

Please wait to be contacted by the NHS before booking your booster dose. You must be contacted before you can book.

For more information visit the government website and we will add additional links as required.

Are you vaccinating the general public?

As usual, there will be no vaccination on our site for the general public.  Adults who are eligible through age or with relevant conditions will be contacted.  The programme for children will be run through their school.

 Are you vaccinating patients?

In general our patients will be vaccinated through their GP/primary care. You will be told if there are exceptions, for example we run a clinic to offer the vaccine to our pregnant patients.
