Other placements
There are additional placement schemes running in the Hospital which are outlined below:
Medical Electives
These placements are arranged through Imperial College, will typically last a few weeks (a maximum of 6 weeks) and applicants must be in their 5th or final year of medical school to be eligible. There is a small administration charge associated with these placements. For more information about Medical Electives please click here.
Clinical placements/observers
Applicants must qualified clinicians (for example a doctor) and applications should be made directly to the department/consultant you are interested in visiting. Approved applications will then be processed by HR and the applicant will be issued with an honorary contract. Please note that a CRB, Occupational Health check, proof of professional registration and references are required for these applications.
Return to practice (for example nursing, physiotherapy)
Unfortunately we are unable to offer return to practice placements at the Hospital.
