Chelsea and Westminster Staff Group Schemes
An array of exclusive deals and discounts have been arranged for all Chelsea and Westminster Hospital staff and their families. The Groups Scheme discounts cover products from motor and home insurance mortages—where there is a 3% discount for staff customers, personal loans, life and term insurance, mobile phones and much more.
All partner providers have dedicated staff to deal with Chelsea and Westminster staff enquiries and dedicated low-call numbers for ease of contact.
Hospital Restaurant & Costa Coffee
We provide discounted meals and drinks in pleasant surroundings, and a hot meals service is available in the restaurant.
Accommodation
High quality accommodation is provided on site, at Doughty House, and is allocated on a priority basis.
Travel to work
An advance of salary for a season ticket loan, interest free, is available to ease the cost of travel by public transport. Car parking permits are available by application to directorate managers. Car parking space unfortunately is limited. There are 2 car parks, one in the basement of the hospital and one closeby at World’s End off King’s Road.
Parking permits
Staff in receipt of a parking permit have the opportunity to make financial savings by opting into the salary sacrifice scheme. This enables staff to exchange part of their gross salary for a parking permit. Because they pay reduced tax and National Insurance Contributions, participants can save up to 40% on the cost of their parking permit.
Cycle to Work scheme
Staff can save up to 40% when purchasing a bicycle or bike safety equipment. The Trust's scheme is administered by Cyclescheme.
Communication
The Chief Executive a monthly Team Briefing which is open to all staff. These are supplemented by a monthly staff magazine, Trust News, providing news, views and features on developments across the Trust.
Family-friendly policies
The Trust is committed to helping staff balance the demands of work and family and, as such, has adopted a range of family-friendly policies. These include occupational maternity pay and leave, paternity, carer and adoption leave, job share and career breaks.
Study leave
The Trust is committed to providing study leave that meets both the needs of the service and the professional development needs of the individual. Applications should be through your manager.
Occupational Health
The Occupational Health Service promotes the health of all staff and advises on health in the workplace, on a confidential basis. Services include aromatherapy and a counselling and stress management service. We also have a Back Care Adviser who provides mandatory back care training.
Financial services
There is a cash point on site which accepts most bank cards.
Pension Scheme
The NHS Pension Scheme is considered to be one of the best of its kind, including the employer contribution of 5% and an employee contribution of 6%—find out more.
