Congratulations to the NICU team and the Supervisors of Midwives—both winners of November’s Team of the Month award (there was no Employee of the Month winner in November). Loretta Hubball said: “I want to nominate the whole neonatal team to say thank you for the support and care they have all shown to me and my family.” |
A number of different staff nominated the Supervisors of Midwives and said: “They have pulled together and worked hard to deliver a Nursing & Midwifery Council action plan and pass a Local Supervisory Authority re-audit with flying colours.” |

A patient who nominated the team said: “Even when they are busy they still have time to deal with your concerns.” A member of staff who nominated them said: “They are always helpful, cheerful, polite and have time for their patients. They are a credit to the Trust.” |

Congratulations to India Hardy and the Electronic Patient Records ePrescribing Team including Priyajit Debsarkar, Neill McCall-Peat, Nikki Ferreira and Sarah Howlett who were May’s Team of the Month. They were nominated by colleagues for their fantastic commitment and dedication to implementing electronic inpatient prescribing especially in paediatric wards. |
May’s Employee of the Month was David O’Regan, Senior House Officer in the Emergency Department (pictured with Mark Gammage, Trust HR Director, and Gary Lawson, Chief Executive of Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity). Colleagues said he is a very caring person to patients, relatives and colleagues and is a pleasure to work with. He is always happy, friendly and willing to help everyone and goes above and beyond his role at work. |

Dermatology Receptionist Jordan Mepham (pictured left with Cathy Mooney, Trust Director of Governance & Corporate Affairs, and Gary Lawson, Chief Executive of Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity) was April’s Employee of the Month. One colleague said: “Jordan is new to the team but since joining us he has made such a difference to the department with his never ending helpfulness, enthusiasm and hard working attitude. He is such an asset to Dermatology.” |
April’s Team of the Month was the Assisted Conception Unit. They were nominated by a colleague who said: “They work together efficiently and create a wonderfully calm and pleasant atmosphere. They are caring towards patients who all seem to really like the team. They are all so friendly and care about their work.” |

Team of the Month for March was the HIV/GUM Call Centre. They were nominated by a colleague who said: “The HIV/GUM Call Centre team are very friendly, helpful, efficient and always willing to help at any time. The team coped very well with the move from the Victoria Clinic to 56 Dean Street. They kept within the 48-hour waiting time for sexual health clinic appointments.” |
Angela Rowe, Receptionist on the Medical Day Unit, was Employee of the Month for March. She was nominated by managers and colleagues for her friendly approach to all patients even when under pressure and on her own. They said: “Angela is always cheerful, helpful and polite. She goes beyond the duties of a receptionist and always puts the needs of the patient first.” |

Congratulations to Scott Bennett, Head of Patient Flow and Clinical Site Management, who won February’s Employee of the Month award. Scott was nominated by a number of colleagues, one of whom said: “Scott was key to the hospital running effectively during the adverse weather conditions caused by the snow in early February—his calm and positive leadership was outstanding. He led by example and worked far beyond the expectations of his role.” Another colleague said: “Scott is supportive on a daily basis and is always available, reliable and positive.” |

Congratulations to Bernard Lai, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, who won January’s Employee of the Month award. Bernard was nominated by an Emergency Department (A&E) patient who said: “I think Bernard’s positive and thoughtful behaviour should serve as an example and his actions should not go unrecognised on the extremely busy day that I was a patient in the hospital.” |
Congratulations to the Emergency Department Team who won January’s Team of the Month award. They were nominated by a patient who said: “I am in great debt to Rona McKay and the Emergency Department staff who worked over the New Year. I was intoxicated beyond any form of safety and dignity and they put up with so much. I never thought I would be one of those patients who causes trouble. I am infinitely grateful to them.” |
