Transparency—openness and honesty in information
We are committed to providing understandable and timely information on everything from our quality and safety record to patient feedback on our services.
That is why we have developed this new section of our website to provide as much information as openly as possible to patients and the public.
I believe this is the right thing to do for 2 reasons—firstly, patients can only exercise choice if they have access to the information they need to inform that choice, and secondly, transparency will in the long run increase public trust in big institutions like hospitals.
In this section you will find a wealth of information about Chelsea and Westminster—including details of our infection rates, waiting times in A&E, results of patient surveys, and mortality rates.
We also want it to be a two-way street—and so we are inviting your feedback on how we are doing.
Clearly, this is only the beginning and it is our intention to expand this section of the our website further and provide you with as much information as possible including the underlying data—I hope you find it useful.
