The Chelsea and Westminster Physiotherapy Department is dedicated to providing the best possible service for our patients. We continue to improve our service through integrating published research, clinical experience and patient's feedback. As a consequence, our services are constantly evolving and developing.

Multi-bed Acupuncture Clinic Trial

The department is piloting a Multi-bed Acupuncture Clinic. We run a clinic twice per week offering an acupuncture service to patients with neck pain, shoulder pain, low back pain and osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee.

Each clinic is one hour long, with 6 patients and 2 physiotherapists. Patients are assessed prior to acupuncture to determine their suitability.

Headset Interpretation Trial

To enable greater access to our services for patient's who speak limited or no English, the department will be trialling headset interpretation. This means that an interpreter will not be physically present to translate but via a headset, the translation will take place. The hope is that, if successful, patients who speak limited or no English have the same opportunities as those who do. This may include attending hydrotherapy or one of our classes. We will be collecting feedback from patients during the trial.

GP Feedback

We have asked local GP's for their views and opinions of our service. This is another attempt to improve our service and to try to ensure we are meeting the demands of our local population.

Patient Experience Survey

We appreciate your feedback and annually send Patient Experience Surveys to patients who have finished a course of treatment. The feedback we receive is used to improve the service that we provide to you.  If you have any queries regarding this survey or have any more questions please do not hesitate to email the Physiotherapy Department.
