Breast cancers

What we do

At West Middlesex we have a dedicated breast department which sees people with suspected breast conditions within two weeks of referral. Our team of multi-professionals will support you through every stage of your journey from investigation to diagnosis and beyond. We want to ensure that you receive the best treatment possible that is suited to your own personal needs.

We provide information, advice and support either face to face or on the telephone to patients and carers. Our clinical nurse specialists work to ensure that patient assessments are made holistically and look at the whole person; this helps to make sure that all basic needs are met e.g. financial and emotional support. This support also extends into survivorship once treatment is complete, as patients can still use our service if they develop any subsequent concerns.

Our team

You will be seen by one of our two general surgeons who specialise in breast conditions—Mr Rajiv Vashisht or Mr Musa Barkeji. Our surgeons are supported by a capable team who liaise with other healthcare professionals to help coordinate diagnosis, treatment and care for all of our patients.
