We have a limited number of walk-in appointments (ie no pre-booking required) available throughout the week. There are also specific walk-in sessions on Monday mornings and Tuesday evenings. The following services are usually provided without an appointment:
- Rapid HIV testing
- Free condoms
- Provision and follow-up of Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) for prevention of HIV infection
- Emergency contraception/morning after pill
- Cont@ct3 for young people aged 19 and under
Services by appointment only
- Routine testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs/STDs)
- HIV testing and follow-up care for patients who are living with HIV
- Contraception:
- Intrauterine devices (coils)
- Mirena intrauterine system
- Depo provera injections
- Implanon insertion/removal
- Oral contraceptive pills
- Vaginal ring
- Contraceptive patch
- Pregnancy testing
- Safer sex advice and counselling
- Anoscopy
- Prostatitis clinic
- Specialist consultant referral clinics for patients with longterm or recurrent problems, including genital herpes
- SPLASH—sexual health service for patients living with HIV—available Monday afternoons, Tuesday mornings, and Thursday mornings (2nd Floor, St Stephens Centre) and Tuesday afternoons (female clinic) and Friday mornings (Ground Floor, St Stephens Centre within the Kobler Outpatients Clinic)
Outreach Services
- Connexions—Young person's walk in sexual health service based at Lancaster Youth Club, 128A, Lancaster Road, Ladbroke Grove, London, W11 1QS. Available Tuesday afternoon's 3:30–6:30pm
- SWISH—Specialist sexual health clinic clinic working in partnership with the Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) for sex workers—walk-in sexual health and rapid HIV testing service Wednesdays 1–4pm based at Earl’s Court Health & Wellbeing Centre, 2b Hogarth Road, Earl’s Court, London, SW5 0PT
- Cont@ct-3—Young person's walk in sexual health/contraception service based at the John Hunter Clinic for Sexual Health, 2nd Floor St Stephens Centre, 369 Fulham Road, London, SW10 9NH—available on a Wednesday afternoons from 3–5:30pm
- Club Drugs Clinic @ DTC—Specialist sexual health clinic working in partnership with the Drug Treatment Centre (DTC) and Antedote for people who are using recreational ‘club drugs’
JHC does not provide HPV testing, HPV vaccines or breast examinations.
